Trained from age 12 under Finn Bálor, McDonagh forged his style through global experience — including hard-hitting time in Japanese dojos — and molded himself into one of WWE’s most cerebral strikers.

McDonagh's relentless approach paid off when he captured the NXT Cruiserweight Championship at Worlds Collide, delivering on the promise seen in him by WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.

After dominating NXT UK and making waves in NXT, McDonagh was drafted to Monday Night Raw in 2023 — where he reignited his connection with mentor Finn Bálor and slowly worked his way into The Judgment Day. Despite early tensions within the group, McDonagh was officially inducted on the Nov. 13, 2023 episode of Raw.

His rise continued when he and Bálor captured the World Tag Team Titles on the June 24, 2024 episode of Raw, proving that The Irish Ace is no longer a future threat — he’s a present-day problem.
